femalesymbol_croppedMany women find comfort in seeking an unbiased, clinical opinion when dealing with a partner’s recently discovered a-typical sexual behavior (i.e. cross-dressing, same sex attractions, infidelity, sex addiction, use of pornography). Healthcare professionals often underestimate the support these women need, particularly after the discovery of an affair or other secret their spouse has been hiding.

These events or secrets may include a heterosexual woman finding out that their husband or boyfriend has attractions to transsexuals, other men, or might be questioning his own sexual orientation and commitment in a heterosexual lifestyle.

Often, the concerns these women bring to therapy are life-changing events and greatly impact the long-standing trust within their marriage, their self-esteem and self-worth, as well as the normal routine within their long term relationship.

The common theme among the women who seek therapy services with me is for non-judgmental, emotionally supportive therapeutic approach to help them overcome their distress and reframe their experiences before making definitive long term decisions. My experiences in treating their most intimate concerns and addressing these needs as well as other relationship concerns leads them to resolving the shock, anger, shame and confusion that accompany these situations. I am honored to receive their trust to be able to assist them with their lives.
